Minimum Requirements for Membership

For Life Members:
An applicant should be:
The annual member of the Coldwater Fisheries Society of India for not less than 3 years of uninterrupted standing, a scholar with interest in any discipline of Fisheries Sciences/Aquaculture/Zoology/Life Science/ Animal Science/ Agriculture & Allied Science.
or
Ph. D., working in a Research organization/Field station/University/College, doing research on Fisheries Sciences/Aquaculture/Zoology/Life Science/ Animal Science/ Agriculture & Allied Science.
or
A well acclaimed authority-Administrative/ Research Scholar on Fisheries Sciences/Aquaculture/Zoology/Life Science/ Animal Science/ Agriculture & Allied Science       or
One who has done appreciable service to the Society subject to prior approval of E.C.

1. Provided that the application is proposed and seconded by Fellows or Life members of the Society.
2. Provided further that such applicant is elected at the General Meeting after being approved and recommended by Executive Council of the Society.

For Annual Members:

An applicant should be:
Genuinely interested in the promotion of the objects of the Society.
or
Working or doing research in the field of Fisheries Sciences/Aquaculture/Zoology/Life Science/ Animal Science/ Agriculture & Allied Science and related subjects

1. Provided that the application is proposed and seconded by Fellows or the members of the Society.
2. Provided further that such applicant is elected by Executive Council of the Society.
